What I love about it: The Windy Saddle is conveniently located in the heart of Golden on Washington Ave. and absorbs the old-timey feel of the rest of the town. This charming cafe has a wide variety of food and drink items in addition to plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in the warmer months.

What I love about it: This is the place to be if you’re in need of some caffeine before your adventure west, since it’s the last coffee shop on I-70 before you head into the mountains. They also serve cocktails in the afternoon if you’d prefer something boozy. I really love the sleek, industrial feel of this spot and it’s a great place to work remotely as well since they have plenty of tables and outlets.

What I love about it: This is one of the cutest little coffee shops in downtown Golden in my opinion. It’s such a warm and inviting atmosphere that you could spend hours in. They have a great drink menu with some unique specialty latte flavors that are fun to try. They also have a little store where you can buy local products. Leave with a delicious drink and a souvenir!
4. Red Silo Coffee Roasters

What I love about it: Red Silo is a popular spot for Golden locals and visitor’s alike who crave high quality coffee. You can find some of the freshest coffee in town at this local roastery. This is another great spot to work remotely or study for the day. I also really appreciate the clean, minimalist look of the shop.

What I love about it: Saving the best for last! Cafe 13 nails the cozy atmosphere by prioritizing comfort, charm, and high quality baked goods and drinks. I always look forward to trying a new baked good every time I stop by - they’re all SO good. This is the perfect spot for a date or brunch with friends. Not to mention their outdoor seating is one of a kind.
